Euskotren is the company run by the Basque Government. Its railways link Bilbao with many coastal destinations, as well as localities in the Txorierri valley and Guipúzcoa. It runs three lines in Vizcaya:
Txorierri:
It links Bilbao with localities in the Txorierri valley. Its stations within Bilbao are Deusto, Universidad de Deusto, Matiko, Zumalakarregi, Casco Viejo (transfer to Casco Viejo Bilbao Underground station). It reaches Sondika, Loiu, Derio, Zamudio and Lezama.
Durangaldea:
It links Bilbao's stations Atxuri (transfer to Atxuri Bilbao Tramway station), Bolueta (transfer to Bolueta Bilbao Underground station) and Etxebarri with Durango. It reaches Basauri, Galdakao, Lemoa, Amorebieta, Durango, Berriz and Ermua, in Vizcaya. This railway line ends in Amara de San Sebastián, stopping at Eibar, Elgoibar, Deba, Zumaia and Zarautz, in Guipúzcoa.
At Usansolo station, in Galdakao, there is a bus service that takes passengers to Galdakao's Hospital.
Urdaibai:
This line links Bilbao's stations Atxuri (transfer to Atxuri Bilbao Tramway station), Bolueta (transfer to Bolueta Bilbao Underground station) and Etxebarri with Vizcaya's coastal area, ending at Bermeo. It shares Durangaldea line's railway up to Amorebieta, where it takes a different route to Guernica, Busturia, Mundaka and Bermeo, among other localities.
