Permanent Collection:
The Museum, established in 1921 by the Provincial Government of Vizcaya and Bilbao's City Council, exhibits collections featuring the Basque Country's Prehistory, Archaeology, Ethnography and History. "Basque Country" here refers to a cultural space that goes beyond the borders of present-day Autonomous Community. .
Permanent collections depict topics such as Prehistory in Vizcaya, the maritime world, fishing and trade, pastoral life, handicraft textiles, pottery, weapons and furniture.
